Technology Voucher Program is a program launched by the Hong Kong government. It aims to support local enterprises/organizations in using technological services and solutions to improve productivity or upgrade or transform their business processes.
This program supports projects in the form of technological services and solutions to boost their productivity. All the applicants can propose other technological services and solutions, which could achieve the objectives of the Technology Voucher Program.
The amount of funding provided may vary as per the applicant’s project. The funding may vary as per the project. Moreover, the applicants of the Technology Voucher Program have to make sure that all procurement for goods and services are carried out in an open, fair, and competitive manner. The applicants should adhere to the following procedures:
If the aggregate value does not exceed HK$50,000, the applicants have to submit written price quotations from at least two suppliers or service providers.
If the aggregate value exceeds HK$50,000 but does not exceed HK$300,000, the applicants have to submit written price quotations from at least three suppliers or service providers.
If the aggregate value exceeds HK$300,000 but does not exceed HK$1,400,000, the applicants have to submit written price quotations from at least five suppliers or service providers.
If the aggregate value is more than HK$1,400,000, the applicants shall follow an open procurement process.
The ITC (Innovative and Technology Commission) will conduct a preliminary screening process and check the eligibility of the applicant in the Technology Voucher Program. If the applicant is eligible for the funding, the start-up will get the funding. On the other hand, the ineligible applications will be returned to the applicants. However, the applicant must take care of the above quotations while applying for the program.
